Dear Bangladesh

By Sahat @ Zia Hero Naing

Dear Bangladesh,
You saved me
You're saving me yet
How dearest you are
I can't compensate thanking you enough
Dear Bangladesh,
You saved my lovely parents
You're saving them yet
How generous you are
I can't appreciate you enough
Dear Bangladesh,
You saved my family
You're saving us yet
How merciful you are
I can't end praying enough for you
Dear Bangladesh,
You saved my community
You're saving us yet
How kind you are
I can't end feeling proud of you enough
Dear Bangladesh,
You protected our mothers and sisters
You're protecting them yet
How beneficial you are
I can't think how much I owe you for that
Green color in your flag
It's the lushness in you
Your land is always green and alive
You are a shadow of millions people
The red color in the centre shown
It's a red heart of you
It's shown lost blood for peace
Dear Bangladesh,
How biggest heart you have
Your gratitude is eternal
You hosted a million genocide survivors
Even you already have 163 millions
on your shoulders
You give us shelters
Despite you have your own needs
We have fled many times
And returned Myanmar many times
Please ensure one thing this time
This repatriation should be the last and
last ever for us
Please let us survive for few more days
Just to grasp our looted rights in Myanmar
To live lives in safe and dignified condition
Then, we shall never flee to you again!
